Pick Analysis. Alabama. 829. Scouting Report. WR. Henry Ruggs III. 1. player

The Miami Dolphins have already added a franchise quarterback and a freak offensive tackle to protect him in this mock draft. With their third first-round selection of this 2020 NFL draft scenario, the Dolphins give Burrow a true number one receiver to work with.

Henry Ruggs III is the fastest and most explosive player in college football. He has legitimately elite speed and quickness on the outside and he uses it to burn opposing defensive backs on the regular. Ruggs is obviously an incredible deep weapon, but he also shows a ton of natural elusiveness with the ball in his hands. Basically, this guy is a threat to score from anywhere on the field in any situation.

More from Mock Drafts

While Ruggs’ game is built on speed and quickness, he is also an extremely well-rounded player who knows how to play wide receiver. Ruggs is a crafty route runner who understands route concepts and knows how to naturally create separation. He also shows soft hands and a wide catch radius.

Ruggs is a burner, but he is not just the kind of receiver who teams let loose on consistent nine routes and hope for the best. He is a complete football player who can make an impact in a variety of ways.

As I mentioned earlier, Burrow has shown the ability to throw a great deep ball this year. Ruggs is an obvious deep target who would pair well with the Miami Dolphins new franchise quarterback. Also, pairing the speed and playmaking ability of Ruggs with the size and athleticism of Preston Williams would give Miami an exciting young wide receiver duo to run their offense through.

With their three first-round selections in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins have a chance to reshape their franchise. In this mock draft, they do exactly that by landing three impact offensive players.
