Green Bay Packers

The Packers look like one of the best football teams in the NFC in 2019.

Aaron Rodgers is, thus far, meshing quite well with his new head coach Matt LaFleur and the Packers pulled all the right strings this offseason in free agency and in the NFL Draft, adding key defensive players like Preston Smith, Za’Darius Smith, and rookie safety Darnell Savage.

Green Bay is fresh off of a blowout win against the Oakland Raiders in which Rodgers threw five touchdown passes (he also rushed for one). With Davante Adams injured, Rodgers had to spread the ball around to an interesting crew of receivers. Here are the players he threw touchdown passes to in this game:

  • Jimmy Graham
  • Marques Valdez-Scantling
  • Jake Kumerow
  • Jamaal Williams
  • Aaron Jones

Imagine what Rodgers could do if he had Emmanuel Sanders and a healthy Davante Adams out there at the same time.

The Packers have to consider parting with their third-round pick, which will be near the end of day three anyway.

Matt LaFleur runs a version of the offense the Broncos are running under Rich Scangarello as both LaFleur and Scangarello come from the Shanahan coaching tree.
