WR. Oklahoma. CeeDee Lamb. player. Pick Analysis. 8. 52. Scouting Report

CeeDee Lamb continues to impress this season and is putting himself in the conversation to be the top wide receiver in the 2020 NFL draft class. For now, most still have Jerry Jeudy higher, but Lamb is at least making it close. Before the season started, that did not even seem possible.

Through seven games this season, Lamb has caught 31 passes for 681 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is a big play waiting to happen at all times, showing the ability to stretch the field in the deep passing game and take a short pass to the house with his impressive elusiveness in the open field.

Lamb is a quick and shifty route runner who runs crisp routes and can change directions on a dime. He does a fantastic job of creating natural separation against man-to-man coverage and has a knack for finding soft spaces in zone. Lamb also shows incredible natural ball skills and elite body control in the air. He is an absolute wizard in contested-catch situations, showing the ability to come down with the ball almost no matter what.

The Jacksonville Jaguars may have found something in quarterback Gardner Minshew. He has looked fantastic this season and he has found a favorite weapon in D.J. Chark. That being said, besides Chark, the Jaguars do not have much to speak of at the wide receiver position. Adding Lamb to the mix would give Minshew an elite weapon on the outside and an ideal receiver to pair with Chark.
