Scouting Report. Jeffrey Okudah. 6. player. 59. Pick Analysis. CB. Ohio State

The Dolphins sent defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for Pittsburgh’s first-round pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. Major injuries at the quarterback position have hurt the Steelers this season and they are legitimate contenders to land in the bottom five. In this mock draft, the Dolphins pick for the Steelers at number six overall. With that extra pick, Miami adds Ohio State cornerback Jeffrey Okudah to the mix.

Okudah is the best cornerback in the 2020 NFL draft class and has big-time upside at the next level. He is extremely smooth and fluid in coverage, changing directions quickly and mirroring opposing receivers extremely well. Okudah is an impressive natural athlete who shows elite short-area quickness and fantastic long speed.

He is also and long and aggressive player who does a great job of using his length to knock the ball away. He is a legitimate lockdown defender in man-to-man coverage and shows tremendous natural instincts in zone. On top of all of that, Okudah has also impressed with his ball skills this season.

The Dolphins already have Xavien Howard who has proven to be a great NFL cornerback. If they can add Okudah to pair with Howard, they would have arguably the best young cornerback duo in the entire NFL. Talk about a great way to build a defense.
