2020 NFL Draft: Two-round mock draft featuring Joe Burrow going No. 2
Ohio State edge rusher Chase Young has been absolutely dominant this season. Through seven games, Young has an impressive 10.5 tackles for loss and has sacked the quarterback 9.5 times. He is the most dominant defensive player in all of college football and undoubtedly has massive upside at the next level.
With the fourth pick of this 2020 NFL draft scenario, the Atlanta Falcons bring Young into the mix. This would be the best-case scenario for the Falcons who are able to fill a major position of need with arguably the best player in the 2020 NFL draft class.
Young has an absolutely incredible combination of size, power and athleticism on the outside that allows him to dominate against the run and consistently create pressure on the passer. He is quick off of the snap, gets fantastic upfield burst and is powerful at the point of attack. Young shows great natural hand usage and is a smart rusher who has a variety of moves that he uses well to create pressure.
Against the run, Young does a great job of setting the edge and has the physical tools to create penetration in one-gap situations. Simply put, he is an incredibly gifted defensive lineman who the Falcons could bring in and build their entire defense around. Young is the best defensive player in the 2020 NFL draft class and would fill a major position of need Atlanta.
