CB. Paulson Adebo. 50. Pick Analysis. Stanford. 19. player. Scouting Report

The Detroit Lions do not many obvious needs on the roster. This team can simply use the 2020 NFL Draft to sit back and take the best player available and stockpile assets at nearly any position. In this mock draft, the Lions attack the secondary, bringing in Stanford cornerback Paulson Adebo.

Adebo is a long, strong and physical cornerback who is not afraid to come up and make plays against the run. He is also a strong press-man defender and shows good on-field awareness at all times. Adebo is a good man-to-man defender, but his natural instincts in coverage make him an even better player in zone coverage.

A former wide receiver, Adebo has obvious ball skills that help give him big-time playmaking ability at the next level. He does a nice job of simply sitting back and reading the quarterback and attacking the ball when a play can be made.

If the Lions were to draft Adebo, they could easily go into next season with him, Darius Slay and Justin Coleman as their primary cornerbacks next season. That would be an extremely talented trio who could help take the entire Lions defense to the next level. Adebo to Detroit is a strong fit.
