Previewing the NFL Week 7 matchup between the New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals.
One of my favorite games in the NFL Week 7 slate is the matchup between the New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals. These are two pretty bad, but also interesting teams who should be able to score some points in this one. If you like young and interesting offenses playing against bad defenses, this game is for you.
Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has really stepped up his game in recent weeks. Kliff Kingsbury and his staff have done a nice job of adjusting the offense on the fly to help Murray shine.
Murray is an incredible athlete at the quarterback position who can make plays down the field with his arm and outside of the pocket with his legs. Against a Giants secondary that has really struggled to defend opposing passing attacks, Murray has a chance to go off in this game.
The Arizona Cardinals may be able to score at will in this game, but the New York Giants may be able to match them. The New York offense has looked much better with Daniel Jones under center and the Cardinals defense leaves plenty to be desired. Arizona will get star cornerback Patrick Peterson back from suspension in this one, which will obviously help, but one guy can only do so much.
The Giants will be getting star running back Saquon Barkley and tight end Evan Engram back from injury. The return of Barkley is obviously huge, but getting Engram back in this specific game is incredibly important as well. The Cardinals have been shredded by the tight end position all season long. Engram should eat in this one.

This matchup between the New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals will showcase the top two quarterbacks taken in the 2019 NFL Draft. Will Murray come out on top as he did on draft night or will Jones lead his team to victory at home? Either way, this should be a fun game between two young and talented offensive units.
