Previewing the important NFC East Sunday Night Football matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.

The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles will face off in perhaps the most important game of the NFL Week 7 slate. This important NFC East battle will take place on the Cowboys’ home turf in primetime on Sunday Night Football.

I hate to call any game this early in the season a must-win, but whoever ends up winning this game will have a major advantage in the divisional race. Right now, the Eagles and Cowboys are tied for the lead in the division, with both teams sitting at 3-3 on the year.

Dallas looked fantastic at the start of the season, winning their first three games of the year. However, those wins against the New York Giants, Washington Redskins and Miami Dolphins are not the most impressive. Basically, the Dallas Cowboys were just beating up on bad teams early in the season and have now lost three straight games to more competent foes.

This matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles feels like an opportunity for the Cowboys to get their offense back on track. The Eagles secondary has been an absolute mess this year. Dak Prescott should be able to move the ball down the field at will as long as his offensive line can give him enough time to work. The injury statuses of wide receiver Amari Cooper and offensive tackles Tyron Smith and La’el Collins are extremely important in this one.

Personally, I see this as a likely high-scoring contest. The Eagles defense has been terrible and the Cowboys have shown an ability to score against bad defenses. Carson Wentz is an absolute stud who can put up points against any defense when he is on. Sign me up for a shootout in Dallas for the NFC East lead.
