Jacksonville Jaguars 7-round 2020 NFL mock draft after Ramsey trade
Round 4, Pick 104: Larrell Murchison, DT, NC State
The Jacksonville Jaguars defensive line has been given the nickname of “Sacksonville” for their past success when getting after the passer. While the team does still do well in that aspect, they have missed the inside penetrating presence of Malik Jackson ever since he left after the 2018 season.
With current interior lineman Abry Jones and Marcel Dareus struggling to create that pressure, the addition of a guy like NC State’s Larrell Murchison could be huge.
Penciling in Murchison with the 104th pick of this Jaguars 2020 mock draft just felt right, as he is a bit of an undersized interior player that relies on his motor, not unlike Malik Jackson.
He also shows incredible athleticism that he wastes no time displaying when you watch him play on Saturdays. He’s got quick feet and has proven to not be a one-trick pony when trying to get inside of offensive lineman.
Through 5 games in 2019, Murchison has already racked up 7 sacks and that production doesn’t seem as though it will stop.
This would be a quality piece to add to the rotation on that defensive front that could immediately help on obvious passing downs.
