player. Scouting Report. Tua Tagovailoa. 1. 56. Pick Analysis. QB. Alabama

Whoever ends up holding the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft is going to be tempted by Chase Young. That being said, if a quarterback-needy team ends up picking at the top, I have a hard time believing that Tua Tagovailoa would not be the pick.

The Cincinnati Bengals have holes all across the roster that need to be addressed, but nothing matters if they cannot find the right quarterback to lead them going forward. Here, the Bengals have a chance to add the perfect quarterback to lead them into the future and they simply cannot pass it up. Tua is the obvious choice for the Bengals at number one.

Tagovailoa is clearly the top quarterback prospect in the 2020 NFL draft class and one of the best quarterback prospects in recent memory. He has more than enough natural arm talent to hit any throw on the field and is also an extremely mobile player who can escape trouble in the pocket to make plays downfield. On top of that, Tua is a smart player who understands how to read defenses and rarely makes a bad decision.

Most importantly, Tagovailoa is an incredibly accurate passer who consistently puts the ball where it is needed. He leads his receivers extremely well, drops it in the bucket with ease and understands how to protect his receivers in the middle of the field.

Andy Dalton had had a nice career in Cincinnati, but a change is needed if this franchise ever expects to compete going forward. Adding Tagovailoa to the mix would be the best-case scenario for the Bengals in the 2020 NFL Draft.
