Pick Analysis. Mississippi State. Darryl Williams. 893. Scouting Report. IOL. 2. player

Early in the second round of this 2020 NFL draft scenario, the Miami Dolphins select Darryl Williams, an offensive lineman out of Mississippi State. Williams has been a rock-solid left guard at Mississippi State the last two seasons and is now leading their offensive line from the center position.

Williams is not the most nimble offensive line prospect, but he is an extremely tough and aggressive player who simply gets the job done on the inside. Williams shines on the mental side of the game and has enough competitive toughness for an entire team. This guy is an absolute dog who wants to get his hands on a defender and embarrass him each and every down.

He is an extremely powerful player who is always looking for work and shows great overall hand usage. Williams also anchors extremely well in pass protection. Simply put, he is the perfect guy to bring into the mix and lead this offensive line from the center position going forward.

player. Scouting Report. OT. Washington. Trey Adams. 2. 818. Pick Analysis

Back to the offensive line for the Miami Dolphins with their other second-round selection, as they land Washington offensive tackle Trey Adams. Injuries are a major concern here, as Adams suffered a torn ACL in 2017 and missed most of 2018 with a back injury. That being said, he appears to be healthy now and is playing at an extremely high level.

Adams is a big and long offensive tackle who moves his feet well and shows great pass protection technique. He is a true dancing bear who has fantastic upside as a pass protector at the next level.

Adding Thomas, Williams and Adams would immediately improve the Dolphins’ offensive line by a significant margin. Whoever they end up bringing in as their franchise quarterback must be protected and Adams can do that at an extremely high level. Risky pick here for the Miami Dolphins, but it is one that could pay off in a big way.
