2020 NFL Draft Top 50 Big Board: Ranking the premier prospects
2019 stats (five games): 77.5 completion percentage for 1,076 yards, 8 touchdowns and 0 interceptions
Jake Fromm is not as physically gifted as some other quarterbacks in the 2020 NFL Draft class, but he is a rock-solid quarterback prospect who could have a ton of success if he lands with the right team. Fromm is an extremely smart quarterback prospect who rarely makes a wrong decision. No, he does not have the most impressive natural arm talent, but he is an accurate passer and he knows how to put proper touch on his passes when needed.
Fromm is the kind of guy who coaches love. He may not make many plays on his own, but you can trust him to lead your offense. A smart team will draft Fromm and put him in a position to succeed.
2019 stats (five games): 10 total tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery
Julian Okwara is an extremely bendy and athletic edge rusher who has big upside at the next level. That being said, he is an inconsistent player who tends to disappear far too often. Also, Okwara has obvious struggles against the run that limits him to being a situational rusher, at least early in his career.
All of that being said, Okwara is explosive off of the snap and bends around the edge with ease. He is going to be able to create pressure at the next level, and that in itself, is extremely valuable.
Lucas Niang has an ideal combination of size, athleticism and length that makes him an ideal offensive tackle prospect at the next level. Niang mirrors in pass protection extremely well and is extremely powerful at the point of attack. He is an exciting offensive tackle prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft who is going to have a lot of fans in the league.
Alabama offensive lineman Alex Leatherwood is not the most technically sound prospect in the 2020 NFL Draft, but he is simply a big and strong dude who moves his feet well. Leatherwood was dominant at right guard for Alabama last season and has been great at left tackle this year. He is a fringe first-round 2020 NFL draft prospect who teams could fall in love with throughout the process.
2019 stats (four games): 17 total tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 6 sacks, 1 pass defended
Curtis Weaver is a tough and physical edge defender who should be able to come into any situation and compete right away. He is not an overly explosive rusher, but Weaver does a fantastic job of getting off of the ball quickly and making the most out of what he has to work with.
Weaver is a tremendous run defender who sets the edge well. He also does a nice job of getting upfield burst against the run and in pass-rush situations. Weaver is an extremely high-motor player who is a safe bet to have success at the next level.
2019 stats (five games): 23 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks
Marvin Wilson is a massive defensive tackle prospect who shows obvious strength and raw power on the inside. He also moves well for such a big and powerful dude and does a nice job of creating natural penetration in one-gap situations up front.
