Previewing Packers vs. Cowboys and how to watch all of the action via an online live stream.

On Sunday afternoon, the Dallas Cowboys will play host to the Green Bay Packers in the marquee matchup of NFL Week 5. Both of these teams sit at 3-1 on the season and seem to have what it takes to make a Super Bowl run this year.

The Cowboys are coming off of a tough 12-10 loss to the Drew Brees-less New Orleans Saints. Dak Prescott and the Dallas offense struggled to get anything going last week. They were dominant the first three weeks of the season, but the Saints were able to keep them in check throughout the game.

Looking back, we have to wonder if the Cowboys offensive success early in the season had more to do with their competition than their own offensive prowess. They averaged over 32 points per game in the first three weeks, but it’s not like they were facing a murder’s row of defensive units. The New York Giants, Washington Redskins and Miami Dolphins all have pretty terrible defenses. It would be nice to see the Cowboys have some success against a strong defensive unit.

Prescott and company will have a chance to prove themselves against the Packers in this one. Green Bay has put together a strong defensive unit this season, allowing only 17.3 points per game, the seventh-fewest in the entire NFL. In particular, the Packers have a strong pass defense, as they are allowing the third-fewest passing yards per game this season.

They have done a nice job of creating pressure up front and have put together a strong secondary that can compete against any passing attack. Rookie safety Darnell Savage has been able to make an immediate impact, but it is second-year cornerback Jaire Alexander who leads the way for this defense.

Alexander is growing into one of the premier cornerbacks in the entire NFL and he is expected to follow Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper in this one. That matchup between Cooper and Alexander will be incredibly interesting to watch and should teach us a lot about each player.

The Packers do have some issues against the run, opening up the possibility of a massive Ezekiel Elliott game in this one. Whether it is with the passing attack or the run, the Cowboys would love to get their offense back on track against the Packers.

Aaron Rodgers has been a bit inconsistent this season, but he can still make plays with the best of them. Dallas has a strong overall defensive unit with impact talent at all levels, but Rodgers is still one of the best in the league.

Not having Davante Adams will obviously hurt, but the Packers still have guys like Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Geronimo Allison and Jimmy Graham who can make plays for Rodgers in the passing game. I also would not be surprised to see them try to lean on Aaron Jones and the rushing attack a bit more with Adams out of the lineup.
