4. Denver Broncos: A.J. Epenesa, DL, Iowa

The Vic Fangio era is not off to a good start, as the Denver Broncos have gone winless through the first four weeks of the NFL season.

The offense has been ineffective, as they’ve only been able to notch 17.5 points per game thus far (26th), while the defense has had unexpected troubles getting after the passer, totaling just 5 sacks in four games (all of which came against the Jaguars last week).

With issues on both sides of the ball, there are a number of players the Broncos could target here, but I feel the safest pick is Iowa defensive end, A.J. Epenesa.

The 6-foot-6, 280-pound Epenesa would be perfect as a 3-4 end in Fangio’s defense and with Derek Wolfe’s contract coming to an end after this season, Epenesa would be an easy transition that provides a lot more upside.

Epenesa plays with elite strength and is never pushed backward. He has excellent hand technique and looks to have surprising flexibility for a guy of his stature. A lot of Calais Campbell to his game.

Pairing a guy with his skillset alongside Von Miller and Bradley Chubb could be the boost this defense needs to really take the next step in 2020.
