Oregon State wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins is a 2020 NFL Draft prospect to watch.

Led by the incredible Jerry Jeudy, the 2020 NFL Draft class is loaded at the wide receiver position. There are legitimate eight receivers with legitimate first-round potential, with many others who could jump into the conversation if things break well. Today, we are going to look at an extremely talented wide receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft who has gone a bit under-the-radar thus far.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 209 pounds, Isaiah Hodgins is a massive man who seems to bring in everything around him. Hodgins currently leads the Pac 12 with 509 receiving yards, while coming in second in the league with 33 receptions and six touchdowns. These league-leading numbers come with Oregon State only playing in four games, while most of the rest of the conference has played in five. Simply put, Hodgins has been phenomenal so far this season.

Hodgins moves well for a man of his size, snapping off his routes quickly and showing the ability to change directions well. I would not call him a great route runner, but he is a relatively deceptive player who can create separation against most defensive backs.

That being said, Hodgins does not need much separation to make an impact. He has extremely long arms on the outside and he knows how to use them to his advantage. Hodgins has a fantastic catch radius and wins a majority of contested-catch situations. He also high points the ball in the air extremely well, using his size and length to his advantage to pluck the ball out of the air.

Once the catch is secured, Hodgins does show some nice run after catch ability. He is a relatively elusive player in the open field and always finishes his run hard. Hodgins also shows impressive contact balance, keeping his feet and picking up extra yards after contact.
