Denver Broncos 2020 NFL Draft: Complete seven-round mock draft

The Denver Broncos hold two early third-round picks in this mock draft. With the first of the selections, they land one of the most interesting off-ball linebackers in the 2020 NFL draft class. Paddy Fisher is a big and powerful linebacker who excels inside the tackle box. He is a fantastic downhill defender who understands how to work through traffic and make plays against the run.

He is undoubtedly a traditional linebacker, but do not sleep on Fisher’s ability to work in space. He shows solid speed and quickness at the position, which leads to the range to work sideline-to-sideline. Inside linebacker is an obvious need for the Broncos and Fisher is a well-rounded player who would provide quality depth at the position.

Just two picks later, the Denver Broncos find an extremely talented defensive lineman who fits their defensive scheme well. Leki Fotu is a big and powerful interior defensive lineman who has extremely long arms and powerful hands. He does a nice job of using his arms to keep defenders away from his body and uses his powerful lower half to create push at the point of attack.

In college, Fotu showed an impressive ability to penetrate and create pressure up front. He is a talented interior pass rusher who can win with quickness or power and has a variety of dependable pass rush moves.

Fotu does need to work on establishing consistent pad level. Oftentimes, he comes in too high and it leads to losing because of a lack of leverage. However, we know this guy can win in one-gap situations and his long arms and raw power leads us to believe that he has the potential to two-gap at a high level. Fotu has some work to do, but he would have a chance to become a star on Vic Fangio’s defensive front.
