Baltimore Ravens vs. Cleveland Browns game preview: Battle for AFC North
By Andrew Kim
With an improved Clevland Browns defensive line, how will the Baltimore Ravens offensive line hold up?
The Baltimore Ravens will have the tough task to block a very talented defensive line, as Ronnie Stanley will have to protect Jackson’s blindside against Myles Garrett. Garrett has six sacks so far this season, which is the second-most in the entire NFL. He will look to cause consistent disruption to the Ravens offense. In the offseason, they traded for edge rusher Olivier Vernon, who makes them much more difficult to block as a unit.
Orlando Brown will have to help Stanley block both of the Browns premier defensive ends on the outside. Both tackles allowed Frank Clark and Emmanuel Ogbah to have a sack each (Ogbah had one and a half sacks) last week. This duo of Garrett and Vernon is an upgrade as the Ravens tackles will have to protect Jackson well for their offense to move down the field better than last week.
Even though they were mentioned before for the Browns run defense, both Sheldon Richardson and Larry Ogunjobi are more pass-rushing defensive tackles. The Ravens have Marshal Yanda on one side at guard, but first-time starter Bradley Bozeman will have to handle the other interior defensive lineman with Matt Skura at the center position. Ogunjobi is the only other defensive lineman that has recorded a sack other Garrett, as he has two so far this season.
