Clelin Ferrell, DE, Oakland Raiders

3 tackles, 1 sack

Ferrell debuted in the last game of week 1, and pass rushed with great power and an even more impressive motor. His technique lacked, and pass rush moves consisted almost solely of bull rushes and rip moves to try to get to the outside.

His size and burst pushed the left tackle back the majority of the time, and without a good anchor and footing, a tackle can very feasibly be overpowered by Ferrell’s size (6’4”, 265 pound) and speed.

His first NFL sack came after grad coverage, where the right tackle lost him and he got to the quarterback because of his high motor. Ferrell seems to be the polar opposite of Bosa, using superior athleticism and motor over technique.

He lined up all over the line of scrimmage, having impressive snaps on the interior, but mostly played on the right end, matched up against Broncos left tackle Garrett Bolles.
