Josh Doctson, WR, Washington Redskins

The Redskins have some good depth at wide receiver, and while Doctson is a former first-round pick, the team didn’t pick up his fifth-year option and the writing seems on the wall here.

Doctson was a big play waiting to happen at TCU, but he’s been somewhat of a bust in the NFL.

He did catch a career-high 44 passes last season and has eight touchdowns over the last two seasons combined (six in 2017) but Doctson hasn’t lived up to expectations and some other team may be more interested in resurrecting his career than the Redskins at this point.

I could see a team like the New England Patriots taking a risk on Doctson. Putting him in a situation with an established culture and a strong, veteran quarterback could do wonders for both him and the team that would trade for him.

Doctson will be 27 this year, so a trade may be the only ticket to him getting a big contract this offseason.
