Finally, a guy who has seen some actual NFL action. C.J. Reavis was a member of the EMCC football team during season one of Last Chance U, starring for the team at the cornerback position. He began his college career at Virginia Tech but was kicked off of the team after his freshman season. After one season at EMCC, Reavis landed with Marshall University, starting for the team at the safety position.

After two successful seasons at Marshall, Reavis entered the 2018 NFL Draft but went undrafted. However, he did sign a free agent contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars and made their practice squad after training camp.

Reavis played in four games for the Jaguars as a rookie last season showing nice value as a special teams player and backup safety. He is back with Jacksonville this season and is battling for a roster spot at the safety position.

The Jaguars are not exactly loaded with talent at safety. Ronnie Harrison and Jarrod Wilson will likely start for the team with Cody Davis being their primary backup. After that, Reavis has as good a shot as anyone at making the 53-man roster. Simply put, there are legitimate opportunities for a guy like Reavis to step up and make a name for himself.
