1. Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

While he did not end up taking home the Heisman Trophy, Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was the best player in college football for most of last season. Sure, he a ridiculous amount of talent around him in the Alabama offense, but make no mistake about it, Tagovailoa is an impressive quarterback prospect who has a bright future at the next level.

Tagovailoa is not blessed with elite speed or athleticism, but he is a quick quarterback who does a great job of sensing pressure and escaping from the pocket when needed. That being said, Tua does a nice job of sitting back in the pocket and picking apart the defense when that opportunity is presented to him. His mobility can be an asset, but he is in no hurry to leave the safety of the pocket when it is available.

Tagovailoa has a good arm that will immediately play at the next level. He can make every throw on the football field and can force the ball into tight spaces with velocity when needed.

As quarterback prospect, Tua’s accuracy stands out as his best trait. This guy can place the ball on a dime on a consistent basis to all level of the field. Need him to drop it in the bucket along the sideline? No problem. Need him to hit a receiver in stride on the post? No problem. This guy has elite accuracy to all levels of the field and understands when and how to throw the ball with the proper touch.
