Re-Drafting the 2015 NFL Draft: Where do Winston and Mariota end up?
26. Baltimore Ravens: D.J. Humphries, OT, Florida
Original Pick: Breshad Perriman
Breshad Perriman wasn’t productive in Baltimore. He went to Cleveland last year and it didn’t get much better for him. Humphries would be a better pick after falling a couple of spots from where he was originally taken. Despite injuries, he would improve Baltimore’s offensive line.
The Ravens offensive line consisted of Ricky Wagner, Kelechi Osemele, Jeremy Zuttah, and Marshal Yanda in 2015 and it needed an overhaul to help protect Joe Flacco and keep a strong running game in Baltimore.
27. Dallas Cowboys: Malcom Brown, DT, Texas
Original Pick: Byron Jones
Byron Jones is already gone when Dallas is on the clock, and they take the best defensive player left on the board. Malcom Brown would have been a great addition to a defensive line that consisted of Demarcus Lawrence and Greg Hardy on the end and would have slipped in right next to Tyrone Crawford up the middle. In four seasons, Brown has a solid 186 tackles, and 8.5 sacks for the New England Patriots. He’s been quietly a productive starter in this league.
28. Detroit Lions: Markus Golden, DE, Missouri
Original Pick: Laken Tomlinson
Laken Tomlinson was only in Detroit for two years before spending the next two in San Francisco. The Detroit Lions did better in the redo draft selecting Golden who originally was taken in the second round by the 49ers. Golden had one really good year in 2016, collecting 51 tackles and 12.5 sacks. Since then, his numbers went way down but I think he could bounce back in the right system in Detroit.
