4. RB Latavius Murray (Free Agent)

One of the key moves the Saints made was to bring in free agent running back Latavius Murray, formerly of the Oakland Raiders and Minnesota Vikings.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Murray looks more like a middle linebacker than a running back, but he’s been phenomenal as a rotational back and spot starter in his NFL career, which is exactly what the Saints needed after losing Mark Ingram this offseason to the Baltimore Ravens.

I’m not sure Murray can or will produce at the same level as Ingram, but he’s capable of making a pretty huge impact.

Since 2015, he has no fewer than six rushing touchdowns in a season and in 2016 and 2017 had 20 rushing touchdowns total.

He had 14 touchdowns over the last two seasons with the Vikings, and his style of play should complement Alvin Kamara’s quite well.

At the age of 29, Murray has a few really strong years left in him and he’ll be relied upon to shoulder the load when Kamara needs rest. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets close to double-digit touchdowns again.
