The New Orleans Saints are hoping to contend for a Super Bowl in the final years of Drew Brees’ career. How did they get better in 2019?

The New Orleans Saints have got to be wondering what they did to get on the bad side of the football gods.

Two years ago, they were eliminated from the playoffs when Case Keenum hit Stefon Diggs for the Minneapolis Miracle.

Last year, they were eliminated by the Los Angeles Rams after a no-call on a blatant pass interference from cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman.

It’s safe to say no team in the NFL is going to have a bigger chip on their shoulder in 2019, as the Saints’ frustration with the league’s officiating in that moment following their first-place, 13-3 season in one of the toughest divisions in football resulted in massive disappointment.

So what did the Saints do in 2019 to put themselves even closer to dethroning the New England Patriots and winning a championship?

They were aggressive with certain players, but without a first-round pick (Marcus Davenport trade in 2018) they had to make the most out of their draft choices as well as limited cap space.

Here are their top moves from the 2019 offseason.
