Jacksonville Jaguars: 3 UDFAs who could make an immediate impact
These Jacksonville Jaguars UDFAs could prove to make more of an impact than those that were lucky enough to hear their name on draft day.
The Jacksonville Jaguars 2019 draft class was met with mostly positive reviews as the team was able to add quality talent, without having to force picks due to need, in the process. The fun didn’t stop there though as Jacksonville also agreed to terms with 16 undrafted free agents that will be looking to prove draft evaluators wrong by making a name for themselves with the Jags.
While there is no telling who will stick around and make it with the team, a few names certainly did pique my interest upon review. Here are three Jacksonville Jaguars UDFA’s who could make an immediate impact this season.
Tyre Brady, WR, Marshall
The Jaguars selected seven players in the 2019 draft at seven different positions. Not one of them, however, was a wide receiver.
This was a surprise to some fans as Jacksonville’s receiver depth chart does not incite a lot of excitement. Names like Marqise Lee, Dede Westbrook, Chris Conley and DJ Chark lead the way for their receiver room, so many believed that there would be another player added to the mix via the draft.

While that may not have been the case, the team didn’t come away empty handed after the process, as they were able to land an intriguing UDFA by the name of Tyre Brady out of Marshall. Brady is from Homestead, Florida and began his career at Miami before transferring to the Thundering Herd.
He was highly productive in his two years with the team, amassing nearly 2,000 yards while nabbing 17 touchdowns and was voted first-team All-Conference USA in 2018. Brady isn’t going to wow with his athletic ability (ran in the 4.7s at pro day), but he does possess attractive traits that could give him an opportunity to make an impact.
He measured in at 6-foot-3 at the combine and he uses that length to his advantage as he is a true 50-50 ball guy that has shown an ability to go up and get it when the ball is in the air.
If Brady can impress early and earn a spot on this roster, he could prove to be a real weapon in the red zone, which the Jags have been desperate for since the departure of Allen Robinson.
