The Baltimore Ravens select Oklahoma State RB Justice Hill, Oklahoma IOL Ben Powers, and USC CB Iman Marshall with their three 4th round selections.

The Baltimore Ravens are building a serious track team on offense, getting speedy Oklahoma State running back Justice Hill with their first 4th round pick. Hill will be a great complement to the power backs the Ravens have with Mark Ingram, Gus Edwards, and Kenneth Dixon.

At Oklahoma State, Hill was a feature back the past three years and was productive as a junior, but 2018 was cut short due to injury. The OSU Cowboy will be the home run hitter the Ravens needed as the amount of speed NFL defenses will have to account for with Lamar Jackson and Marquise Brown on the field, therefore opening up the run game.

Out of the running backs that were left on the board in the 4th round, Baltimore needed a running back that has some juice that can provide 3rd down value as a pass catcher and a guy that will be effective on outside runs while Ingram and Edwards pound it in the middle of defenses.

The Ravens had a big hole at left guard and filled that with the selection of Oklahoma guard Ben Powers and got more defensive back depth with their selection of USC cornerback Iman Marshall.

The Ravens had a problem at left guard as the combination of Alex Lewis, Jermaine Eluemenor, and James Hurst just did not cut it but with Ben Powers, they fill a big need.

Even though they re-signed Marshal Yanda, it gave them time to find an eventual successor for him as Powers gives Baltimore an instant starter at left guard who could transition to right guard later on.

USC cornerback Iman Marshall is a ball hawk who could play some safety and provide depth at cornerback. Marshall is an athletic defensive back gives the Raven’s insurance for what they plan on doing with their cornerback and safety room in case of an injury.

Baltimore has one 5th and 6th round pick left in the 2019 NFL Draft with wide receiver, edge rusher, running back, offensive guard, and defensive back now all addressed.

With their two picks remaining on Day 3, I expect the Ravens to beef up their offensive line at the center position, get some depth at interior defensive line, or fill their need at inside linebacker with C.J. Mosely (Jets) gone.

Baltimore picked Oklahoma wide receiver Marquise Brown in Round 1 and both Louisiana Tech edge rusher Jaylon Ferguson and Notre Dame wide receiver Miles Boykin in round 3 of the 2019 NFL Draft on Days 1 and 2.

Ferguson replaces the production of Terrell Suggs (Cardinals) and Za’Darius Smith (Packers) as Boykin and Brown give Lamar Jackson weapons on the outside at receiver. I broke down the pick grade for Oklahoma WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown here.

Overall, Eric DeCosta’s first draft as the Baltimore Ravens new general manager looks like a great one so far as I give the total draft class so far an “A-” grade.
