Jonah Williams

Taylor isn’t the only offensive line prospect that should be on the Jaguars radar. Jonah Williams is another name that could be an immediate help to the right side of that line.

He has been a popular OT1 for many since the early stages of last season, but there have always been questions about whether or not his size would force him to move inside when he gets to the pros.

While he isn’t as big as you would typically see in a starting caliber tackle, Williams checks just about all of the other boxes. He excels in pass protection, as he shows off ideal understanding of footwork, balance and spacing. He is quick to recognize pass rush moves and is rarely fooled as he keeps everything in front of him.

His skillset shows that his intelligence and technique are refined enough that he could play tackle at the next level but his versatility and potential as a guard should only help his case for Jacksonville.

While the Jaguars did bring back AJ Cann on a new deal, he struggled in 2018 as he allowed 6.5 sacks and was rated the 45th best guard in football, according to PFF. His struggles, and the void at right tackle, provide the Jaguars with options if they go with Jonah Williams with the seventh pick.
