Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida

The Jaguars’ offensive line issues were a major reason why the team took such a drastic step back last season. Their promising young left tackle, Cam Robinson, tore his ACL in the second week of the season. Their starting center, Brandon Linder, battled injuries all year until finally being placed on IR in week 10.

Meanwhile, Andrew Norwell, the guy the Jags made the highest paid guard in football during the 2018 offseason, didn’t quite live up to lofty expectations.

Both Robinson and Linder are expected to be healthy going into camp and are the least of the team’s worries on the line, and it’s expected that Norwell will fare better with a healthy unit around him. The right side of the line is where there is a major need. While right guard AJ Cann was recently brought back on a multi-year deal, the team did release Jeremy Parnell, leaving a glaring hole at right tackle.

Jawaan Taylor has soared up draft boards during the evaluation process and for good reason. He is already built like a starting tackle in the league and brings an ideal blend of power and finesse to the position.

Taylor seldom allows rushers to get inside of him and does a great job keeping speed rushers wide when coming off the edge. He has shown a deep catalogue of technique at the position and has legit All-Pro potential.

Taylor would be an instant improvement on that Jaguars line and would give Nick Foles a complete unit to keep his jersey clean.
