Good offensive tackles are always going to be in demand. So the odds are Daryl Williams could get a solid contract if he hits the open market. That said, his injury setback last season may have done just enough to drop his price to a point where the Carolina Panthers can work out bringing him back. They need stability up front more than ever as Cam Newton gets on in years.

Williams was excellent in 2017. He allowed just four sacks and 39 overall pressures on 651 pass blocking snaps. He was also dependable as a run blocker. At age 26 there’s no reason to think he’s due for a regression anytime soon. This is somebody the team should work diligently to keep around. They just have to be careful about the health red flag.
