The Detroit Lions ended an era in abrupt fashion last week when they parted ways with Glover Quin. He’ll probably never be remembered with too much fondness and that’s a shame because he was a lowkey good football player for them for a long time. That said, he slowed down a lot in 2018 and Matt Patricia can’t afford to lack speed at such a key position.

Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is a former Pro Bowler who was a rising star just a few years ago. Then for some reason, he seemed to regress the past two years in Green Bay, before they traded him to Washington. Patricia is no stranger to turning young defensive backs around and Clinton-Dix has the sort of playmaking skill on the back end that Detroit needs.
