The Alliance of American Football is going to be fun to watch. Not just from a quality standpoint, but to see if some of the AAF quarterbacks can develop.

With involvement from a number of notable former NFL and college executives, coaches, and players alike, the Alliance of American Football is going to be intriguing in its debut season in 2019.

The league involves some interesting rule differences from the NFL, which you will want to check out before watching, but this is going to be a league worth monitoring and not to overload the hyperbole, but this league could be the biggest deal for the NFL since NFL Europe.

For the 20 and under crowd, NFL Europe was a developmental league from 1995-2007 where teams actually sent players to, you know, develop.

Believe it or not, a couple of former NFL Europe alumni played a huge role in a (somewhat) recent Super Bowl. Remember the classic between the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2009 season? Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner and Steelers outside linebacker James Harrison were both NFL Europe alumni once upon a time.

You may have heard of Adam Vinatieri, Jake Delhomme, Jon Kitna, and Dante Hall as well.

The point of saying all that is to simply say you never know…

What will come of this league? That remains to be seen, but the fact that NFL-caliber talent is going to be on the field will at least cause teams to evaluate tape and see if some of these guys can help their respective teams.

Let’s take a look now just at the starting quarterbacks for each team, though this list could change over the course of the coming months…
