1. Michael Thomas – WR – New Orleans Saints

Looking back on the 2016 draft, it seems crazy that Thomas was not the first wide receiver drafted, but also crazy that he fell to the second round where he was selected by the New Orleans Saints. Michael Thomas has developed into one of the leagues best wide receivers, while still in his third year as a pro. With three straight 1,000 yard receiving seasons to start his career, he is the clear number one target for Drew Brees.

Thomas now is in search of his first Super Bowl appearance. However, the task will not be easy as he goes up against Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib, two of the leagues best corners. Thomas is coming off of a dominant 12 catch 171-yard receiving game where he also found the end zone. In the Rams and Saints first matchup, Thomas shredded them for 211 yards and a touchdown. Thomas will need a repeat of that performance to help the Saints reach the Superbowl.
