With the AFC and NFC Championship games upon us, we will see four of the best NFL quarterbacks of the 2018 season going at it for their shot at the Super Bowl.

However, these quarterbacks didn’t get here alone, they all have had some very good help along the way. Here are the ten most important non-quarterback playoff players of championship weekend.

10. James White – RB – New England Patriots

After the Patriots drafted rookie running back Sony Michel in the first round in last years draft, it appeared as if James White role may slowly disappear. And if you are looking at just rushing stats you could argue it has. However, White has developed into one of the leagues best pass-catching backs and major threat to opposing defenses. Last weekend against the Chargers, Tom Brady targeted White 17 times! White caught 15 of them for 97 yards. He is becoming one of Brady’s most trusted targets and has been a reliable factor lining up wide or in the backfield.

Saturday’s game against the Chiefs will be a perfect opportunity for White to further display this. The Chiefs secondary is one of the worst in the league, which means the Pats will likely attempt to use White heavily again through the air. After losing Josh Gordon, White has stepped up big for the Patriots when they needed him most.
