Another week of NFL football has come and gone. It was another week of upsets, surprises, and of course, winners and losers. Here are week 15’s biggest winners and losers!

Mike Williams – Winner

This season we have heard all about the Chiefs, the Rams, and the Bears. However, there is one team who shares just as good of a record as them that no one is talking about. The LA Chargers are quietly putting together an excellent season. They went into Thursday’s matchup at 10-3 and just one game back from being tied with the Chiefs.

The Chargers were without Melvin Gordon, lost Keenan Allen on of the first drives of the game, and saw Phillip Rivers throw an interception early. It looked like the Chiefs were about to dominate the Chargers. That is when last years 7th overall pick Mike Williams decided to step up and have one of his best games as a pro.

On a night when everything looked so bad so early, Mike Williams gave the Chargers hope. When down 0-14, Williams was the one who got the Chargers on the board first with a short touchdown catch.

Midway through the third quarter, down by 14, Williams was able to rush for a touchdown from 19 yards out to bring the game back within one score. Down by a touchdown with seconds left in the game, it was Williams again who caught the touchdown pass to bring the game to within one point. When the Chargers decided to go for two, it was Williams they turned to who caught the two-point conversion to give the Chargers the win.

Williams would end the game with seven catches for 76 yards, two receiving touchdowns and a rushing touchdown. It was the breakout game fans have been looking for at the perfect time. The Chargers now have a chance to take over first place in the AFC.
