87. . DT. Clemson. Christian Wilkins. 26. player

The Carolina Panthers have a lot of pieces in place to make a run at the NFC South for the foreseeable future, but one area they need a boost is on the defensive line, at least in terms of their young talent.

Mario Addison (31) leads the team with 7.5 sacks this season. Julius Peppers is still playing well at the age of 38. Kawann Short is going to be 30 next season, as is Wes Horton.

The Panthers need some young blood for the defensive line, and a local product like Christian Wilkins could be exactly what they need.

Wilkins has been a steady force on one of the best defensive groups in college football over the past four seasons, proving his worth week in and week out in the middle of that Clemson defensive line.

The Panthers could also look for edge help here, but Wilkins is a great value and maybe too great to pass up on.
