42. . DE. Alabama. Quinnen Williams. 2. player

The 49ers have a plethora of top talent on the defensive line with former first round picks Arik Armstead, DeForest Buckner, and Solomon Thomas, all from the PAC 12 and all able to play in hybrid defensive fronts.

Quinnen Williams offers similar versatility for their defensive line and is one of the best penetrating interior defensive linemen in a draft class that is absolutely loaded with them.

Williams is just a redshirt sophomore but has 14 tackles for loss and five sacks so far this season on the latest in a long line of stellar Alabama defenses.

The 49ers need to upgrade a number of areas of their defense but their front seven would be elite with Williams added to the fray.

We also put together a full three-round mock draft for the 49ers to see how they can quickly return to prominence in the NFC West.
