Tavon Young picked off Mayfield early but could not do enough late to defend the Browns pass catchers. Mayfield did struggle when the Ravens blitzed so I do not know why they did not continue that trend and contain him.
The return of Jimmy Smith was limited but the starters Brandon Carr and Marlon Humphery did not have great games. The defense still has not given up a second-half touchdown but if the offense struggles as it does at times, the defense needs to get turnovers to prevent big plays.
Tony Jefferson and Eric Weddle struggled and the whole secondary needs a bounce-back week against the Titans and their below-average weapons.
