Week after week, it continues to be apparent that the Pittsburgh Steelers just aren’t the same defense without Ryan Shazier. He masked a lot of their issues in the middle of the field. Try as they might, Jon Bostic and Vince Williams haven’t been able to cover it up. With Shazier no guarantee to return, the Steelers have to think beyond him. Anfernee Jennings is as safe an option as they can hope for. He’s athletic, tough, good against the run and discipline in his coverage responsibilities. Alabama is a great program for producing inside linebackers. He is their latest.
