Here are three things we learned from the Baltimore Ravens beating the Denver Broncos 27-14 at M&T Bank Stadium in week three.

The Baltimore Ravens are now 2-1 and tied for first in the AFC North with the Cincinnati Bengals as they look ahead to a big prime-time matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night football.

The Denver Broncos fell to 2-1 as they were undefeated heading into M&T Bank Stadium and play the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs in a key divisional matchup on Monday Night Football.

The Broncos’ offense got off to a strong start, scoring on their first play from scrimmage (six-yard TD run by Royce Freeman) but the Ravens settled in defensively as the game wore on.

The Broncos had decent success running the ball in the first half as the Ravens missed C.J. Mosley and Michael Pierce in this game. The Broncos also had injury issues with their cornerback group as Tramaine Brock went down in this game.

Phillip Lindsay was ejected in the second quarter of this game, so Royce Freeman and Devontae Booker split carries the rest of the way.

The Broncos had some special teams takeaways (a blocked punt and an illegally blocked field goal) but penalties hurt them in the worst way in this game.

This was a key win for the Ravens as they play their next three games away from home and needed to get back in the AFC North title race. This division could be the most competitive in the AFC.

For the Broncos, they are trying to keep up with the Chiefs as they are trying to limit an explosive offense run by Patrick Mahomes and his weapons. The Chiefs have their number in recent history.
