College Football Week Four Takeaways: Stanford ducks a possible upset

QB Will Grier adds to the Heisman resume

Not playing in two weeks can lead to a little rust for some players. Some players except West Virginia quarterback Will Grier.

In a home, Big 12 contest against Kansas State, the skilled quarterback picked apart the Kansas State defense for 356 yards and five touchdowns and helped guide the Mountaineers to a 35-6 dominating victory.

For Grier, it was his third game of over 300 passing yards and on the season, Grier has 14 touchdowns with just three interceptions. He is also completing 74.7% of his passes and 11.8 yards per pass attempt.

Remaining on the schedule for Grier and the Mountaineers is Iowa State (75th in passing defense), Texas (91st), Oklahoma State (105th) and Texas Tech (110th).

The 6’2 gunslinger will have plenty of opportunities to polish that Heisman campaign even more.
