Prediction

Almost exactly two years ago, Alabama entered Oxford to face Ole Miss and got themselves a back-and-forth contest that produced 91 points between the two teams. Could we see a similar occurrence in this year’s edition?

More from College Football

Ole Miss has plenty of talent on offense that can attack Alabama and make this more of a game than Alabama would like. Ta’amu has some pressure on his shoulders, but luckily for him, he has a running back in Scottie Phillips that can help some of the load. He will be vital also along with the grouping of wide receivers that put some points on the board for Ole Miss.

Alabama may have to weather the storm early on, something that Tagovailoa has excelled within before. The Crimson Tide are a four-quarter team and can wear out an opponent over the course of a game. It will be up to Ole Miss to deliver blows for the entire game because playing Alabama calls for that.

A shootout may occur in Oxford and Ole Miss can make this very interesting. But I can not see an Alabama team be outplayed for an entire game against an Ole Miss team that is good on one side of the ball and questionable on the other.
