5. Oakland Raiders

28. . DT. Michigan. Rashan Gary . 5. player

For the first 15 minutes of the season opener, the Oakland Raiders did everything in their power to prove they didn’t need Khalil Mack to have success as a defense. The Los Angeles Rams eventually showed them they were wrong, rolling up 33 points. The pass rush wasn’t anywhere to be found. It was the first sign that this unit no longer had their ace in the hole. It also means they may have to be aggressive in fixing the problem next year. Rashan Gary may not be an edge rusher but he’s a legitimate pass disruptor from the interior. His size, power, and quickness help him to make quarterbacks uncomfortable. From there the edge rusher concerns can be eased.
