#1 Deandre Baker (Georgia)

The matchup between the top two cornerback prospects will occur on October 13th at LSU. Greedy Williams and the Tigers will take on Deandre Baker and the Georgia Bulldogs.

While the two star cornerbacks would love to make an impact in that game, the uncertainty at the CB position opposite those two means Williams and Baker won’t have many opportunities to impact the game.

More from NFL Draft

Baker finished the 2017 campaign with nine pass breakups and three interceptions, one of which came in the National Championship game. He also went the entire season without allowing a touchdown pass despite being slightly undersized at 5-foot-11. Now a senior, Baker will look to lead the Bulldogs one step further by winning the title game.

Baker will faceoff against several of the nation’s top college quarterbacks this season. These include Jake Bentley (South Carolina), Brent Stockstill (Middle Tennessee), Drew Lock (Missouri), Jarrett Stidham (Auburn) and Andrew Ford (Massachusetts).

If he can continue to develop and make a significant impact, Baker will have the inside track to be the first cornerback off the board in next April’s draft.
