#3 Michael Jakson (Miami)

The first senior on the list, Michael Jackson will be on a mission to put on the Turnover Chain as early and often as possible in what will be his final season with the Hurricanes. The 6-foot-1 cornerback earned the chain five times in 2017, his first as a starter, with four interceptions and one fumble recovery. If he can perform similarly well in 2018, he’ll be in the discussion for a first-round pick.

In addition to his ability to create turnovers, Jackson is one of the most physical cornerbacks who will be available in the 2019 NFL Draft.

He’s excellent in press coverage and frequently disrupts the timing and path of the receiver’s route. He’s also physical in the run game. Jackson is a sure tackler who aggressively attacks the ball carrier while protecting the edge.

Unlike every other prospect on this list, Jackson isn’t the highest rated defensive back on his own team. Heading into the season, that distinction belongs to safety Jaquan Johnson, who also picked off four passes last season. Like Jackson, Johnson is also a senior and gives Miami arguably the best secondary in the ACC.

The defense as a whole should be one of the best in the nation, however, the offense has to improve in order for the Hurricanes to compete for an ACC title.
