Indianapolis Colts vs Seattle Seahawks

For the first time in 585 days, Andrew Luck will play in an NFL game for the Indianapolis Colts.

After missing all of last year with a shoulder injury Luck returns against Seattle on Thursday night. Armed with a new left guard in Quenton Nelson Luck will play an undisclosed number of series.

It’s clearly a long time coming for Luck, and many wondered whether he’d ever return following multiple shoulder surgeries.

The Colts have two rookie running backs who will also look to break out, Nyhiem Hines and Jordan Wilkins. With Frank Gore’s departure and Marlon Mack not having a tight hold on the starting job, Hines and Wilkins will be heavily evaluated over the next four weeks.

Seattle will debut a rookie running back of their own, first round pick Rashaad Penny out of San Diego State. A surprise pick for Seattle after making only two first round picks in the last five years, Penny looks to replace the production Marshawn Lynch took when he retired and later went to Oakland.

Linebacker Shaqueem Griffin will be another rookie to watch coming out of UCF with only one hand. Seattle reunited Griffin with his brother Shaquill and hope the rookie can step up in a revamped defense.
