Chicago Bears Stock Report: Post Hall of Fame Game Edition

Up: Doran Grant
Several young cornerbacks were the talk of Bears training camp prior to this game. First it was Kevin Toliver and then it was Michael Joseph. Throughout every practice, the name Doran Grant was one rarely mentioned. Perhaps that was both a good and bad thing. Good because it meant he wasn’t getting burned a lot but bad because he has failed to make any plays.
Well some players aren’t practice guys. Get them into a game though and they completely change. Grant proved to be that type as he delivered a pretty interception of Lamar Jackson in the second half, cutting in front of the pass through a proper read. It was a play of his own making and not a gift, signaling the young corner might have ability that should continue to be explored.
