Baltimore opted not to fire head coach John Harbaugh after missing the playoffs for the fourth time in five years. Quarterback Lamar Jackson was drafted 32nd overall as both the heir apparent to Joe Flacco and a valuable weapon while Flacco remains the starter.
Ozzie Newsome also revamped the entire receiving corp in Baltimore, signing John Brown, Michael Crabtree, and Willie Snead in free agency and drafting tight ends Hayden Hurst and Mark Andrews in the first three rounds.
Hopefully, we get a lot of Jackson in the Hall of Fame Game as he looks to prove he can play on an NFL team. Obviously, tonight won’t be his only test, but it’s his first in an NFL uniform under the lights in Canton.
