Former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Lamar Jackson, a first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens, is making his NFL debut Thursday…

Football is back, and fans are going to be treated to the debut of one of the most exciting young prospects to come along in a very long time, former Heisman Trophy winner and first-round pick Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.

Jackson is currently listed as the Ravens’ third-string quarterback behind Joe Flacco and Robert Griffin III, which means we’re likely to see a whole lot of him in the Hall of Fame game against the Chicago Bears.

While Jackson is allegedly a long ways away from being the starting quarterback of the Ravens, he’ll provide a glimpse in an exhibition game of the playmaking ability that made him one of college football’s most feared offensive playmakers over the past few years.

At Louisville, Jackson threw for 9,043 yards, 69 touchdowns, and just 27 interceptions. He added another 4,132 yards as a runner, along with 50 more touchdowns.

Jackson accounted for 119 touchdowns over the last three seasons at Louisville, and on Thursday, he’s looking for his first in an NFL uniform, even if it is in a preseason game.

Throughout the draft process, Jackson was firmly in the top five at his position thanks to his rare athleticism for the position.

On any given play, Jackson is a threat to score, whether he’s using his arm or his legs. He is such a dynamic playmaker that it would have been a complete joke to see him left out of the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and the Ravens made sure he didn’t fall out entirely, trading up to pick number 32 overall to get him.

Playing against fellow third-string players in a pre-season game, Jackson should stand out as one of the best athletes on the field.
