Kellen Winslow Jr. Faces Life in Prison on Multiple Rape Charges

Up until recently the story of Kellen Winslow Jr. was an unfortunate one. A supreme talent undone by bad injuries during his NFL career.

That story could be about to take a far more disturbing and tragic turn based on new information coming out over his recent arrest. It turns out the son of the Pro Football Hall of Famer is facing several felony charges including multiples involving rape or intent to commit rape. While he no longer plays active football, given the bloodline he comes from this is an unspeakable turn of events if true.

TMZ Sports revealed recently that there are nine charges in total ranging from the rape allegations to indecent exposure and even burglary. He was arrested twice in a span of days by San Diego Police for multiple incidents, the second coming on a warrant. No matter how one tries to spin it, there is no making this situation look good.

"“Officials say Winslow is being charged with 9 criminal charges including kidnapping with intent to commit rape, forcible rape, forcible sodomy, burglary, indecent exposure and more.Here are the charges in total:— 2 counts of kidnapping with intent to commit rape— 2 counts of forcible rape— 1 count of forcible sodomy — 1 count of forcible oral copulation — 2 counts of residential burglary— 1 count of indecent exposure.If convicted on all charges, he faces LIFE in prison.”"

Details are emerging now and they make it look even worse

Up until now, there were no details about what might’ve happened. That changed when it was revealed that all of the victims involved in these incidents were elderly. Four women known to be involved were reportedly 54, 59, 71 and 86-years old respectively. Rape of any kind is awful but there seems a heinous nature to these ones. He’s a former NFL player allegedly going after women who can fight back even less than younger ones could.

Trials will be set in a short time. If Winslow Jr. is convicted on most or all of them, he likely faces life in prison. One can only imagine how his father is taking this news. At one point in time, his son was a Pro Bowler. To see him fall this far must be crushing. One can only hope he’s innocent but these situations don’t often end well for the accused.
