The pressure is on for some coaches across college football this upcoming season.

Just a few major college football programs who made coaching firings recently and have moved on to new regimes. As the 2018 season approaches, there are a number of coaches who are facing the distinct possibility of being terminated by season’s end. Or in some cases, as the season transpires. Here are the hot seat coaches across college football for the 2018 season.

Larry Fedora, North Carolina

Fedora has six seasons under his belt in Chapel Hill with a 43-34 record. Seems decent right? Well, when you account for an ugly 3-9 season that was marred with injuries and depth issues, along with an upcoming 2018 season where he has inconsistencies at quarterback, and a relentless schedule, then you have a 2018 season that appears to be fairly daunting for Fedora and the Tar Heels. Their schedule features road games at California and Miami along with homes games against UCF, Virginia Tech, and North Carolina State. Another below .500 season may not necessarily get Fedora but it will at the very least get the fans wanting to see change.
